The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the attack on the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the attempt to target its oil facilities in the Eastern Province and the Riyadh region with drones launched from Iraqi territory. The Ministry expressed the full solidarity of the Lebanese Republic with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its full concern for its security, stability and territorial integrity. She added in a statement: “While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes the announcement by the Iraqi authorities to open an investigation into this incident, it confirms that confronting the military activities practiced by non-state parties, especially in Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen, is a joint and continuous battle, leading to enabling these countries to extend their authority and sovereignty over their entire territory by their own and legitimate forces alone.” She concluded: “In a related context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates renews its strong condemnation of the launching of Iranian ballistic missiles towards Jordanian territory - as acknowledged by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Forces themselves - and affirms that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and a threat to regional security and stability.
